Thor’s Arsenal

Eight Channels of Waveforms

Thor’s Arsenal is a multi-function Eurorack module that fits into a 3U x 14HP slot. It features 8 CV outputs, 2 CV Inputs, and 4 Trigger inputs. The outputs all run their programs simultaneously, each able to be triggered by any of the trigger inputs and modulated by any one of the CV inputs.

The front panel controls are intuitive and easy to use. Typically there is only the top level menu. And the deepest menu is only one level deep. The rotary dial lights up when the dial’s push button is active or when a special condition occurs.

In addition to the front panel controls, Thor’s Arsenal provides Desktop and Terminal interfaces. The Terminal interface is ANSI X3.64 via the USB-C connector. The Desktop interface also connects via USB. These interfaces greatly extend the usefulness and capabilities of Thor’s Arsenal. Scripting, patch management, dedicated GUIs and more are now possible. And using a remote interface means that you no longer have to adjust tiny dials amid a forest of patch cords. This benefit cannot be fully appreciated until it is experienced directly.

8 Outputs, Infinite Waveforms

  • In general, the output level follows a selected waveform.
  • Waveforms can be from the factory list, user defined, or imported.
  • Factory waveforms include sine, haystack, ramp, pyramid, pulse, toggle, and maytag.
  • Waveforms can contain up to 128 steps.
  • Waveforms can be programmed to be triggered or clocked by any of the trigger inputs.
  • Waveforms can be triggered by multiple triggers.
  • Waveforms range between -10V and +10V.
  • Waveforms can be scaled by UI setting or by CV input.
  • Waveforms can be offset by UI setting or by CV input.
  • Waveform period can be set via UI or by CV input.
  • Waveform repetitions can be set from 1 to 32,767 or continuous.
  • Waveform quantization can be enabled or disabled.
  • Waveforms can be randomized from 0-99%.
  • Waveforms have LED level indicators.
  • The ability to adjust these and even more parameters give you the tools you need to precisely tailor your sound.

4 Trigger/Clock Inputs

  • Triggers activate output functions.
  • The trigger inputs respond to a positive-going signal or a button press.
  • Each trigger can be independently enabled or disabled.
  • Three trigger modes: hold-off, skip and density.
  • An LED indicates when any attached output is active.

2 CV Inputs

  • +/-10V input range.
  • CV inputs can modulate many of the output parameters.
  • LED input-level indicators.
