Melper

Convert Your Unused Moog Case Into a 60HP Eurorack case

Melper simulation shown with unshrouded headers. Actual headers are shrouded.

You buy a Moog Mother-32 or DFAM and transfer it to your existing rack leaving this 60HP box to sit idly in your closet. You think it might be useful someday, so you don’t throw it away. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could use it to expand your system?

Now you can with the Melper.

Or perhaps you’ve built a small case and have a +12V power source. Wouldn’t it be nice if you had an inexpensive way to complete your rack?

Now you have a way with the Melper.

The Original Melper with a Spankulator and a Bonkulator

With the Melper, you get:

  • 6 Eurorack Power Connectors
  • +12, -12 and +5V power
  • LED indicators for each power rail
  • Thick power traces minimize voltage drop

Specs

The Melper derives -12V and +5V from the +12V supply.

  • -12V
    • Voltage range: -11.75V thru -12.25V
    • Maximum current: 200mA
    • Line regulation: 15mV
    • Load regulation: 20mV
    • Ripple: 230mV
  • +5V (see – LM7805)
    • Voltage range: +4.8V thru +5.2V
    • Maximum current: 500mA @ 25C (more if heat-sink is used)
    • Line regulation: 3mV typ.
    • Load regulation: 10mV typ.
    • Ripple rejection: 80dB typ.
